Makeup Shopping Haul | Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty & Sephora
In recent months I have become more picky about what beauty products I purchase. Partly because I no longer work as Ulta Beauty [so I don't have an employee discount anymore], and partly because I have discovered that I prefer using high-end products that I will use up until I hit pan.
So this is actually the biggest beauty collective haul that I have done since the holidays.
Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz's in Medium Brown -- I have been waiting for Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty sale, just so I could stock up on these pencils. Since I first tried out this brow pencil out about three years ago, I have gone through about six of these, perhaps more [I went through phases of trying different products]. I have tested out dupes for this brow wiz, but the only one that I truly love breaks out my eyebrow area, so I like to keep with my ABH one. Anyways, these were on sale for $10.50, instead of $21, so I picked up two.
NARS Bronzing powder in Laguna -- I freaking love this bronzer, only downsize is the price tag. It is $40 normally, but I had a 20% off coupon for Ulta and since I have hit major pan on mine, I repurchased this so I will have it for this summer. This is a daily product for me come summertime. Random fact: this is the ONLY bronzer that I have used up.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Caviar Ink -- This was marked down to $18 instead of $27 during one of Sephora's Weekly Deals. I love my Bobbie Brown mascara [which I need to repurchase], so I decided to give their gel eyeliner a try. The shade I picked out is a soft black-brown and is just what I was looking for. Bonus point: it lasts a 8-hour shift at Starbucks where I am hot and sweaty, so I'm looking forward to testing it out more this summer.
MAC Prep+Prime Fix+ -- I have almost used up my first bottle of Fix+, so when I saw that this was going to be marked down to $13 instead of $26, I knew I had to pick up a second bottle. I love using this to foil my shadows & highlighters, to freshen up my makeup, or to help my makeup look more seamless and less caky.
Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff -- I love the matching face moisturizer, and since I have recently used up my itCosmetics eye cream, I knew I wanted to test this one out next. I will let you know how I like it. For reference, I love the iTCosmetics eye cream I just like testing out new products, as I get bored using the same skincare products.
Tarte Shape Tape in Fair -- This is my number one favorite concealer. Mine is almost empty, so I picked up a new one with my 20% off coupon to Ulta. There are some other concealers that I love too, but I always grab this one when I want trusty full coverage for my under-eye area.
Tarte Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Festival -- I used to love wearing this color back when I worked at Ulta, but I never got around to purchasing it for myself. So when Tarte's lip paints were marked down to $10 during the 21 Days of Beauty sale, I jumped on the opportunity to add this to my collection. Quick review: feels very lightweight and they have an amazing color range.
Tarte Glossy Lip Paint in Obvi -- I haven't fully decided if the color is 100% perfect for me, but I love the glossy lip paints for my lighter makeup days. This was also on sale for $10.
Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in Lunch Money -- I have been loving my Colourpop super shock eyeshadows [in fact, I have just hit pan on one of them], so I have been dying to test out their highlighter in Lunch Money. I haven't had a chance to test this out yet, but I'm hoping to test it out soon.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile, and Lavender -- On sale for $5.25 during the 21 Days of Beauty, I decided to give it a try. So far, I'm not too sure if I am in love with it or not. Currently I'm thinking about possibly returning it, as the lavender might be a bit too much for skin type.
BECCA Backlight Priming Filter -- I was able to pick this up for $19, instead of $38 during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty. I have been using a sample that I had received of these last year the past couple of months, so when I saw that full sized was going to be 50% off, I knew I had to get it. I love wearing it both alone on a makeup free day, or as my primer underneath either foundation or BB Cream.
