LA Vibes | Packing Ideas
I am going to be visiting LA for a long weekend this summer, so I have been thinking about my packing list as the trip gets closer. I will be joining my family, who will already be out there for the week on vacation. I kinda wrote a rough packing list, back when I booked my flight in March, but now I’m working on fine tuning the list and creating a vibe for the trip.
I will be flying out to LA, so I kinda need to keep everything to one carry-on suitcase. Especially, since I don’t really own anything bigger personally. This is always a struggle for me, as I tend to overpack. I always need to be prepared for anything that is thrown at me, even while on vacation.
Vibes for the Trip
Neutral colors + with pops of color
Classic California style
Cutoff Denim Shorts + Oversized Sweaters
Timeless Style One-Piece Bathing Suit
The vibe I’m leaning towards for this trip is kinda a classy, California style vibe. Lots of neutral colors, with just pops of color. Oversized lighter washed denim jacket. Black one-piece bathing suit, in a timeless cut and style. I kinda think it would be cool to have a straw cross-body bag for LA, but we will see I can locate one at either Goodwill, or on clearance at Target before the trip. With the list so far, I know it is too much. It looks more like a list for a week long trip, or if I plan on doing multiple outfit changes everyday. I think what I need to do the weekend before I leave is, lay out everything and start creating outfits and TRYING the stuff on. This way I can tell better on how to cut down on my packing list.

For my beauty routine in LA, I’m going to be focusing on SPF [I burn really easily], earthy tones, and a fresh base. My skincare I’m going to keep really simple, as I never like to go all out while on vacation without all of my own towels, especially when staying at an airbnb. I will probably resort to using makeup wipes, something I try to avoid, but they are handy when traveling and you aren’t staying at a hotel.
I will of course bring moisturizer, eye cream, a toner spray, lip balm, and sheet face masks as part of my skincare routine. My skin always feels really dry after flying, and I always need to pamper my skin with a face mask while traveling.
