Hello, everyone! I've been slowly working on my day-by-day post of NYC for y'all, it is taking me awhile to write each day up, but it is coming along. So keep an eye out for that post.
This afternoon I took my friend, Beth, and her son to General American Doughnut & Calvin Fletcher's for their first time -- both place are two of my top favorite places in Indianapolis. Calvin Fletcher's has the best chai lattes that I have tasted so far in my life, even compared to ones I've tried in Chicago, New York City, Detroit, and Cincinnati.
I'm in the process of packing up part of my sewing area into storage, partly to free up room and partly because I don't really have a lot of time to sew anymore. I'm kinda thinking it would be nice to create a space to do blog work, YouTube ['cause I really want to get back into making videos again], and maybe even store some of my Makeup Artist stuff in the drawers of my desk.
The creative bug has striked. Being in one of the Fashion capitals of the World and seeing all of the high-fashion designers & department stores as given me some inspiration for some sewing projects. Now, we will see if I have time to act on this feeling. I have one dress that I purchased at Goodwill last Autumn, that needs some alterations for a Spring editorial blog post idea I have. It is a little too revealing for my taste on the sides and back, so I'm adding a panel and creating peak-a-boo back, instead of having my entire back and sides not covered. I might also turn the dress into a halter type style, but haven't fully decided yet.
Well, I better get going. I'm making cupcakes for my siblings, have to put away my clothes [and finish washing them], and decided what movie[s] I want to watch tonight [I might do a Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, or Jack Lemmon film].
