Sephora VIB Sale Haul
I love shopping Sephora’s VIB Sale twice a year, as it is my chance to try out products I’ve been dying to try out at a discount. This year, I went bigger than normal with my haul as I had received a good tax return, so why not use a small portion of it to purchase some products that have been on my shopping list for years.
You can see above an IGTV haul video that I did like a month ago, but since it has been a month I can give a better review of all the products now. Yay! Now, there are a few products from the haul that I didn’t used that many times in May, so I don’t have a full option on them yet. With the month of May being a moving month for me, and also being the month I go back to work — wearing a full face of makeup everyday has been at the bottom of my to do list. I have only worn makeup like once every two weeks this month [a rarity for me].
Products Purchased
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder in 1 Fair — I have seen the hype for this powder for a few years now. I had always been curious to test it out, so I knew I had to give a try. I like this powder, but I can’t fully say if it is worth the hype, as I haven't worn a lot of powder during the month of May. Let me use it for a few more months.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundation in 3 Neutral — I dislike purchasing foundations online, especially ones I’ve never seen in person or have never had a chance to swatch. Why you ask? I didn’t realize how dark this shade was till it arrived, as I thought it was much lighter. Oops. Anyway, I still need to try and return this foundation, as it is way too dark for me.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in 2 Light — I love a glowy primer so I was excited to test this product out, especially when it can also be used as an: primer, highlighter, mixed into your foundation, or can be just worn alone for a healthy glow.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyeliner in Pillow Talk — My favorite lip liner and lipstick from CT is Pillow Talk, so of course I had to try out the eye liner when they released it in a whole Pillow Talk collection. I like this the few times I have used it, but again I need to use it a few more times before saying if it is worth it.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand in Spotlight — This is such a beautiful cream highlighter — gives that light from within glow. My favorite way to apply this is to dab it on my cheekbones, and blend it in with a damp beauty sponge.
Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer in Creme — Y’all. I have found a new favorite concealer. I’m a bit of a concealer junkie. So, when I heard that a new concealer had come out and people were loving it better then some of my top favs, I knew it had to go in my cart. So far I’m a huge fan of the concealer, and I can’t wait to play around with it more this summer.
MAISON MARGIELA ‘REPLICA’ By The Fireplace Travel Spray — This was a repurchase for me. I had originally purchased this perfume two years ago, so when I ran out about a month before the sale, I knew I HAD to repurchase it. Since the full size is expensive and I knew I wanted to try out several products this shopping trip, I just opted for the travel spray again.
Smashbox Cali Contour Palette — This was totally a whim purchase, and I don’t regret it one bit. The shades in the palette all work out perfectly for my skin tone, and will be perfect for travel. I’m a fan of the formula, it applies beautifully, and helps you look chiseled and bronzed. Yes, please.
FENTY BEAUTY Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in F$$SY — I LOVE the Fenty gloss bomb’s so it was a no brainer to throw a new shade [for me] in my cart. I love how moisturizing this gloss feels, and how beautiful it looks worn either alone, or to finish off a lip combo. It was the FENTY glosses that got me back on the gloss train, and I’m not complaining.
FENTY BEAUTY Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Rose Latte & Strawberry Drip — These cream blushes dropped on the Sephora site during the VIB sale. I have been wanting to test out new cream products this year, so when these landed I knew I wanted to try out a couple of them. The shade, Rose Latte has become an everyday staple for me — it is such the perfect tanned rose tone for a bronzed summer makeup look. I see myself using the shade, Strawberry Drip for the days I want a more fresh and natural makeup look.
